1. Age Limit for RPSC Assistant Professor, Librarian, and PTI
General Age Criteria
- Minimum Age: 21 years

- Age is calculated based on the cutoff date mentioned in the official notification (e.g., 01.07.2023 for Assistant Professor and 01.01.2024 for Librarian and PTI).

Age Relaxation for Reserved Categories

Important Notes:
- Age relaxation provisions are non-cumulative. Candidates can avail only one category of relaxation.

2. Educational Qualifications
A. Assistant Professor (College Education)
For Subjects 1 to 31 and 40 to 48 (as per Annexure 1 of RPSC Notification)

Master’s Degree:
- Minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Relaxation of 5% at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), MBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and PwBD categories.

National Eligibility Test (NET):
- Candidates must have cleared the NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC (e.g., SLET/SET).
- Exemption from NET: Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- Open viva voce conducted.
- Two research papers published from Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
- Two papers presented at conferences/seminars sponsored by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR.
- Note: NET/SLET/SET is not required for disciplines where UGC/CSIR does not conduct these tests.

Foreign Ph.D. Holders:
- Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by QS, THE, or ARWU.

For Subjects 8 to 39 (Creative and Performing Arts)

- OR a traditional/professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, holding a Bachelor’s degree, and fulfilling the following:
- Studied under a noted/reputed traditional Master/Artist.
- ‘A’ grade artist of All India Radio (AIR) or Doordarshan.
- Ability to explain the subject logically.
- Adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations.

- Same as above (exemption criteria apply).

B. Librarian (College Education)

3. Nationality and Domicile Requirements
Nationality
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Domicile
- Reserved category benefits (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS/Ex-servicemen) are applicable only to candidates who are permanent residents of Rajasthan.
- Women candidates from other states who marry a Rajasthan resident cannot claim reserved category benefits (as per Supreme Court and Rajasthan High Court rulings).
- General category candidates from other states are eligible to apply but cannot avail reserved category benefits.
4. Other Specific Requirements
A. Equivalence of Degrees
- Candidates must refer to the Equivalence Committee Report (2022) published on the RPSC website for determining the equivalence of allied/relevant subjects as per UGC Regulations 2018.
- The report lists 51 subjects and their allied disciplines (e.g., Economics includes Applied Economics, Development Economics, etc.).
B. Ph.D. Candidates (Registered Before 11.07.2009)
- Candidates registered for Ph.D. before 11.07.2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they fulfill the following:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis evaluated by two external examiners.
- Open viva voce conducted.
- Two research papers published (at least one in a refereed journal).
- Two papers presented at conferences/seminars sponsored by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR.
C. Provisional Eligibility for Final-Year Students
- Candidates appearing for the final year of their qualifying examination are eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing the examination before the interview.
D. Character and Medical Fitness
- Candidates must submit a character certificate from their last attended educational institution, stating their conduct as "Good."
- Medical fitness certificate from a competent authority is required post-selection, confirming the candidate is fit for government service.
- Police verification certificate must be submitted, showing no criminal record that would disqualify the candidate from government service.
E. Ex-Servicemen
- Ex-servicemen must provide:
- Discharge certificate (for retired personnel).
- NOC from the employer (if currently employed).
- Service record (for calculating age relaxation).
- Note: Ex-servicemen who have already availed benefits for a government job in Rajasthan cannot claim ex-servicemen benefits again.
F. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
- 4% reservation is applicable for PwBD candidates (horizontal reservation).
- Categories include:
- Blindness/Low Vision (B/LV)
- Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH)
- Locomotor Disability (LD) including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy

G. Widows and Divorced/Abandoned Women
- No upper age limit for widows and divorced/abandoned women.

- Death certificate of husband (for widows).
- Divorce decree or legal proof of abandonment (for divorced/abandoned women).
- Affidavit stating no remarriage (as of the application deadline).
H. Two-Child Policy
- Candidates with more than two children born after 01.06.2002 are ineligible for government service in Rajasthan.
- Exceptions:
- Children born from a single delivery (e.g., twins) are counted as one unit.
- Disabled children are not counted.
- Remarried candidates with one child from the previous marriage are eligible.
I. Working Knowledge of Hindi and Rajasthani Culture
