Exam Pattern Overview
The RPSC Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) examination is conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) to recruit eligible candidates for teaching positions in government schools across Rajasthan. The exam is structured into two papers, each designed to assess the candidate's knowledge, teaching aptitude, and subject expertise. The selection process is based solely on the performance in the written examination, followed by document verification.

Marking Scheme
- Total Marks: 500 (Paper-I: 200 marks, Paper-II: 300 marks).
- Question Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Negative Marking: Applicable for both papers. For every wrong answer, one-third (1/3) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
- Example: If a question carries 2 marks, 0.66 marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General Category: 40% in each paper.
- Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST): 35% in each paper.
- Ex-servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Relaxation as per Rajasthan Civil Services (Absorption of Ex-servicemen) Rules, 1988, and Rajasthan Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018.
Time Duration
- Paper-I: 2 hours.
- Paper-II: 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Additional Time: 10 minutes extra beyond the scheduled time for filling OMR sheets.

Document Verification:
- Carry the admit card, a valid photo ID (Aadhar card, PAN card, or passport), and passport-sized photographs.
- Ensure all details on the admit card match your ID proof.

OMR Sheet Instructions:
- Use a blue ballpoint pen to darken the circles on the OMR sheet.
- Darken only one circle per question. If no answer is attempted, darken circle ‘5’ to avoid negative marking.
- Failure to darken any circle in more than 10% of questions may lead to disqualification.

- Allocate time wisely for each section. Prioritize questions you are confident about.
