Educational Qualification for RPSC Assistant Professor (Sanskrit)
The educational qualifications vary based on the subject group of the post. Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:
For Posts 1 to 4 (Hindi, English, Political Science, History)
- Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or a similar test (e.g., SLET/SET).
- Ph.D. holders are exempt from NET/SLET/SET if:
- The Ph.D. was awarded in regular mode.
- The thesis was evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- An open viva voce was conducted.
- The candidate published two research papers (at least one in a refereed journal).
- The candidate presented two papers at UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-sponsored conferences.
- OR The Ph.D. was obtained from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 by QS, THE, or ARWU.

For Posts 5 to 15 (Sanskrit-Specific Subjects)
- Acharya Degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the subject concerned conducted by UGC or a similar test (e.g., SLET/SET).
- Ph.D. holders are exempt from NET/SLET/SET if they meet the same conditions as above.
