RPSC Biochemist Eligibility Criteria 2024
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has outlined specific eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the RPSC Biochemist post. Below are the detailed requirements for age limit, educational qualifications, nationality, age relaxation, and other specific conditions.
RPSC Biochemist Age Limit
The age limit for the RPSC Biochemist post is calculated as of 1st January 2025.
- Minimum Age Limit: 21 years (Will be updated when available)
- Maximum Age Limit: 37 years
Note: Candidates who were over the age limit as of 1st January 2015 (due to the previous advertisement in 2014-15) are eligible for an additional 3-year relaxation in the upper age limit as per service rules.
RPSC Biochemist Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications to be eligible for the RPSC Biochemist post:

Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. (Medical) in Biochemistry from a recognized university or institution.

- Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination are eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of qualification before the interview stage.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is required (Will be updated when available).
RPSC Biochemist Nationality and Domicile Requirements
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- Domicile:
- Reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen) are applicable only to Rajasthan state domicile candidates.
- Candidates from other states will be considered under the General (Unreserved) category and are not eligible for reservation benefits.
- Women married to Rajasthan domicile individuals are not eligible for reservation benefits under SC/ST/OBC/MBC categories as per judicial rulings.

Notes on Age Relaxation:
- Age relaxation is non-cumulative. Candidates can avail only one relaxation category.
- PwBD candidates are eligible for additional 5 years relaxation after applying other applicable relaxations.
- Ex-Servicemen relaxation is subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years (55 years if experience on a lower post is mandatory).
RPSC Biochemist Other Requirements
Physical Fitness
- Candidates must be medically fit as per the standards prescribed by the Rajasthan government. A medical certificate from a competent authority will be required post-selection.
Character and Antecedents
- Candidates must possess a good character and should not have been convicted of any criminal offense.
- A police verification certificate will be required at the time of appointment.
Number of Children
- Candidates with more than two children as of 1st June 2002 are not eligible for appointment, except in specific cases (e.g., multiple births in a single delivery, death of a child, or remarriage).
- This rule does not apply to widow/divorcee/deserted women.
Marital Status for Women Candidates
- Widow: Must submit a death certificate of husband from a competent authority.
- Divorcee/Deserted: Must submit a court decree for divorce or desertion issued by a competent court.
- Remarriage: Women who remarry after applying under the widow/divorcee/deserted category will lose eligibility for reservation benefits.
Ex-Servicemen
- Ex-Servicemen must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority if applying within one year of retirement.
- Ex-Servicemen who have already availed benefits under Rajasthan government service are not eligible for further reservation benefits.
Sports Quota
- Outstanding sportspersons may be eligible for age relaxation as per notifications dated 15.03.2013 and 21.11.2019 (Will be updated when available).

- One-Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory, requiring details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, educational qualifications, and ID proof.

- SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS/Saharia candidates: ₹400
