Overview

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) conducts the Contractual Ayush Officer (Ayurveda/Homeopathy/Unani) Recruitment 2025 under the National Health Mission (NHM), Department of Medical, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Rajasthan. This recruitment aims to fill 1,535 contractual positions for Ayush Officers across Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unani disciplines in non-scheduled and scheduled areas of Rajasthan. Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidates must be:

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, or Ethiopia with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Candidates falling under categories (b), (c), or (d) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Age Relaxation

Age must be below the retirement age prescribed by the state government.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following degrees recognized under the Rajasthan Homoeopathic Medicine Act, 1969 (Act 1 of 1970) and registered with the respective board in Rajasthan by the last date of application:

Note:

• Degrees must be from a university established by law in India.
• Registration must be completed by the last date of application.
• Candidates must acquire the required qualification before the last date of application.

Other Eligibility Conditions

1. Health: Candidates must be mentally and physically fit, free from any defect that may hinder the efficient discharge of duties.
2. Character: Candidates must possess a good character certificate from the head of the institution where they last studied or from two responsible persons (non-relatives).
3. Marriage Registration: Mandatory for all candidates (per Government of Rajasthan circular dated 22.05.2006).
4. Domicile: Candidates claiming reservation benefits must be permanent residents of Rajasthan and possess valid domicile certificates.
5. Disqualifications:
   • Candidates with more than one living spouse (for males) or married to a person with a living spouse (for females) are ineligible unless exempted by the government.
   • Candidates who have accepted dowry at the time of marriage are ineligible.
   • Candidates with more than two children as of 01.06.2002 are ineligible (exceptions apply).
   • Candidates debarred by RSMSSB or found guilty of misconduct in any examination are ineligible.

Note: Candidates from scheduled areas can apply for both scheduled and non-scheduled area vacancies. Preference must be indicated during document verification.

Vertical Reservation (Category-wise)

Horizontal Reservation (Within Categories)

Note:

• Women Reservation: 30% of vacancies in each category are reserved for women (including 8% for widows and 2% for divorcees).
• PwD Reservation: Applicable for categories OA, OL, BL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV (Non-surgical jobs), SLD, and MD involving the above.
• Ex-Servicemen: Only native residents of Rajasthan are eligible.
• Outstanding Sports Persons: Must meet criteria specified in the notification (e.g., representing India in international tournaments).

Application Process

How to Apply for RSMSSB Contractual Ayush Officer Recruitment 2025

1. One-Time Registration (OTR):

   • Candidates must register on the SSO Portal (http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in).
   • Pay the OTR fee based on category:
     • General/OBC (Creamy Layer): ₹600
     • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/MBC/EWS/SC/ST: ₹400
     • All PwD Candidates: ₹400
   • Note: Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee for another exam in the same financial year need not pay again.

2. Online Application:

   • Log in to the SSO Portal and select Recruitment Portal under Citizen Apps (G2C).
   • Click Apply Now and fill in the required details.
   • Upload live photograph and signature as per guidelines:
     • Photograph: JPEG format, 50-100 KB, white/light background, no glasses/caps.
     • Signature: JPEG format, 20-50 KB, black/blue pen on white paper.
   • Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, category, and preferences.
   • Verify all details before final submission.

3. Application Fee:

   • The OTR fee serves as the application fee for this exam.
   • No additional fee is required unless applying for multiple exams in the same financial year.

4. Final Submission:

   • After submission, an application ID will be generated. Save and print the application form for future reference.
   • Note: Applications submitted through e-Mitra kiosks are the responsibility of the candidate. Errors by e-Mitra operators will be treated as the candidate's fault.

5. Application Correction:

   • Candidates can edit their applications within 3 days after the last date of submission by paying a fee of ₹300.
   • A final correction window will be opened 1 month before the exam for limited edits (excluding name, father's name, DOB, gender, photo, signature, and educational qualifications).

6. Withdrawal of Application:

   • Candidates can withdraw their applications 1 month before the exam via the Recruitment Portal on the SSO website.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Exam Pattern

• Mode: Offline/Online/CBT/TBT (OMR-based) [To be confirmed]
• Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes)
• Total Questions: 150
• Total Marks: 450 (3 marks per question)
• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • General/OBC/EWS: 40%
  • SC/ST: 35%

Note: The syllabus is indicative. Candidates must refer to the prescribed syllabus by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) or National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH).

Admit Card

• Admit cards will be released online on the RSMSSB website.
• No admit cards will be sent by post.
• Candidates must download their admit cards using their application ID and SSO ID.
• Admit cards will contain details such as exam date, time, venue, and instructions.
• Candidates must carry a printout of the admit card, a valid photo ID, and a recent passport-sized photograph to the exam center.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination:

   • Objective-type test as per the exam pattern and syllabus.
   • Normalization of marks will be applied if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.

2. Document Verification:

   • Shortlisted candidates must present original documents for verification, including:
     • Educational certificates
     • Age proof
     • Caste/domicile certificates (if applicable)
     • Registration certificates (Board of Indian Medicine/Homeopathic Board)
     • Character certificates
     • Marriage registration certificate (if applicable)

3. Final Merit List:

   • Prepared based on written exam marks.
   • Reservation rules will be applied as per government norms.
