RSMSSB CET Senior Secondary Level Syllabus 2026

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has updated the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Senior Secondary Level syllabus.

The syllabus is comprehensive, testing candidates on Rajasthan-centric topics, general logic, languages, and a newly added section on Public Health.

1. History of Rajasthan (राजस्थान का इतिहास)

• Ancient Civilizations: Major archaeological sites like Kalibangan, Aahad, Ganeshwar, Balathal, and Bairath.
• Dynasties & Achievements: Major rulers, administrative systems, and socio-cultural setups of Rajasthan dynasties.
• 1857 Revolt: Role of Rajasthan, peasant movements, tribal movements, Prajamandal movements.
• Integration: Unification and post-independence consolidation of Rajasthan.
• Prominent Personalities: Historical figures, freedom fighters, and leaders.

2. Art and Culture of Rajasthan (राजस्थान की कला और संस्कृति)

• Architectural wonders: Forts, palaces, monuments, and temples.
• Traditional arts, paintings, school of art, and handicrafts.
• Folk music, folk dance, musical instruments, and theater.
• Religious sects, saints, poets, local deities (Lok Devta & Devi).
• Social life: Costumes, ornaments, fairs, festivals, customs, and tribal traditions.
• Language and dialects, history of Rajasthani literature.

3. Geography of India (भारत का भूगोल)

• Physical features of India: Mountains, plateaus, plains, and deserts.

4. Geography of Rajasthan (राजस्थान का भूगोल)

• Physical divisions, climatic conditions, natural vegetation, and soils.
• Rivers, dams, lakes, and water conservation methods.
• Natural resources: Minerals, forests, water, and wildlife.
• Livestock resources, dairy development.
• Population distribution, growth, density, literacy, sex ratio, and major tribes.
• Tourism in Rajasthan: Major circuits, heritage spots.

5. Indian Political System with Special Emphasis on Rajasthan (भारतीय राजनीतिक व्यवस्था)

• Constitution: Nature of the Indian Constitution, Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, and Fundamental Duties.
• National Level: President, Prime Minister, Council of Ministers, Parliament, Supreme Court, and Election Commission.
• State Level (Rajasthan): Governor, Chief Minister, Cabinet, State Legislative Assembly, High Court, RPSC, State Election Commission, State Information Commission, Human Rights Commission, Lokayukta, Chief Secretary, and District Administration.
• Panchayati Raj: Local self-government as per the 73rd and 74th constitutional amendments.

6. Economy of Rajasthan (राजस्थान की अर्थव्यवस्था)

• Role of agriculture, industry, animal husbandry, and mineral sector in the development of the state.

• Handicraft industry, unemployment, drought, and famine issues.

• Carbon and its compounds: Hydrocarbons, allotropes, CFCs, CNG, polymers, soap, and detergents.
• Light: Reflection and its laws, refraction, lenses, defects of vision, and corrections.
• Space and IT: Space research program of India, satellite systems, information technology basics.
• Genetics: Terminology, Mendel's laws of inheritance, structure of chromosomes, DNA, RNA, protein synthesis, and sex determination.
• Environment: Structure of ecosystems, biotic/abiotic factors, energy flow, biogeochemical cycles, biotechnology.
• Economic importance of plants and animals.
• Human Health: Blood groups, blood transfusion, Rh factor, pathogens, malnutrition, and common human diseases (causes & cures).

8. Logical Reasoning & Mathematics (तार्किक विवेचन एवं गणित)

• Reasoning: Blood relations, number series, alphabet series, coding-decoding, sitting arrangements, mental and analytical ability.
• Arithmetic & Algebra: LCM & HCF, average, percentage, ratio-proportion, profit-loss, simple and compound interest, time-speed-distance, time-work.
• Geometry & Mensuration: Area of triangle, circle, ellipse, rectangle, sphere, cylinder. Volume of sphere, cylinder, cube, cone.
• Statistics: Graphical representation of data (bar charts, pie charts, line graphs).

9. Language Knowledge (General Hindi & English)

• Hindi (सामान्य हिन्दी):
  • संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, विशेषण, अव्यय, क्रिया।
  • सन्धि और सन्धि विच्छेद, सामासिक पदों की रचना और समास-विग्रह।
  • उपसर्ग और प्रत्यय, पर्यायवाची, विलोम शब्द, अनेकार्थक शब्द, शब्द-युग्म।
  • शब्द-शुद्धि, वाक्य-शुद्धि, वाक्यांश के लिए एक सार्थक शब्द, मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियाँ।
  • अंग्रेजी तकनीकी शब्दों के समानार्थक हिन्दी शब्द, कार्यालयी पत्रों से संबंधित ज्ञान।
• English (सामान्य अंग्रेजी):

  • Active and Passive Voice, Direct and Indirect Narration.
