RSMSSB CET Senior Secondary Level Exam Pattern 2026: Detailed Scheme
The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has implemented a new exam pattern for the Common Eligibility Test (Senior Secondary Level) starting from the 2026 cycle.
Unlike previous versions, the new pattern includes negative marking and a revised 5-option OMR sheet format. Understanding these guidelines is critical to avoid penalty deductions.

Mandatory 5-Option OMR Rules
To prevent manipulation and ensure transparency, the board has made the following rules compulsory for marking answers:
- Attempting a Question: Darken the circle of your chosen option (A, B, C, or D) using a blue ballpoint pen.
- Leaving a Question Unattempted: If you do not know the answer and want to skip the question, you MUST darken Option E.
- Negative Marking Penalty: If you leave a question completely blank without darkening A, B, C, D, or E, it will be treated as a wrong answer and 1/3 mark (0.67 marks) will be deducted.
- Disqualification Rule: If a candidate leaves more than 10% of total questions (12 or more questions) completely blank (none of the 5 circles filled), they will be disqualified from the selection process.
- Additional Time: You will get an additional 10 minutes at the end of the exam to verify that you have filled at least one option for all 120 questions.
Normalization Process
Since the exam is held in multiple sessions/shifts across different days, the board will apply a statistical normalization process to calculate the final qualifying scores. This ensures fairness regardless of any differences in difficulty levels across different paper codes.
