- "O" Level or higher certificate from DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses).

Nationality
Candidates must be:
- Citizens of India, or
- Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
- Persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
